From Akeneo you keep everything that makes up your product data:
Export as CSV or XLSX or via the API, as documented by Akeneo. ainavio reads the data as it is, no restructuring upfront.
1. Export and import. Export products, categories, attributes and media from Akeneo or connect Akeneo via API. ainavio reads the data.
2. AI mapping. ainavio recognises locale columns such as “name-en_US” as language variants, option values as value lists and attribute groups as a proposal for your attribute structure. Existing fields are matched, missing ones are created once you confirm. Existing attributes are never renamed or overwritten.
3. Review and approve. Before the import you see every product, every new category and every new attribute in a list and remove what does not fit.
4. Migrate every product in batches. The mapping applies to the data model, not to each product. Then every product runs through ainavio in the background, whether 5,000 or 500,000. You review samples.
5. Reconnect shops and marketplaces. The Marketplace Agent maps your data to the categories and mandatory attributes of Amazon, OTTO, Kaufland, Shopify, Shopware and more. You switch channel by channel; Akeneo can keep running in parallel.
According to Akeneo, no new releases of the Community Edition have been published since 2023, and official support for it was scheduled to end on 30 September 2026. As of September 2026, please verify directly with Akeneo.
Data migration usually takes two to four weeks, depending on data volume, number of channels and your approvals. A full project including ERP and shop integration went live in under six weeks at SDS Swiss Dental Solutions.
Yes. You switch channel by channel. Until the last channel runs on ainavio, Akeneo stays in operation.
No. ainavio derives attributes and categories from your Akeneo export, proposes them and creates them once you confirm. Whatever already exists is mapped.
